EQDkp installed!
Submitted by ttadmin on Wed, 06/08/2008 - 11:43A new feature is now available on our beloved TupanTechno.org!
And hold your horses before asking "Hey I thought you guys didn't use dkp, why would you need a system to track it?". Yes, we don't but we customized it a bit so now we're gonna use it mainly to keep track of our raids and loots.
Feel free to check out the shiny purples we get every week, you'll also have the chance to access the list of our members and see who's slacking and who's pretending not to.
Finally of course many thanks to Blindlabel for making this section of the site possible.
Enjoy!
Tupan Downs Muru
Submitted by Wickedsick on Wed, 16/07/2008 - 20:46This is where we would say that if M'uru had an ass, we definitely kicked it pretty bad. After heartbreaking chain of DCs that cost us numerous kills last week, we came in and one shotted his nerfed version this week. In between tons of bad puns, dogs shitting on couches, half of Australia's ISPs going bankrupt, recruiting a hunter who obviously ate lots of yellow snow as a kid and Liz dropping a food table, I can't say the past months have been uneventful. Congratulations to all that put in an effort in defeating the hardest encounter we've faced yet, the best is yet to come. Kil'Jaeden, we have waited long enough.
The shiny purples were:
[Sunglow Vest]
[Ring of Hardened Resolve]
[Shadowed Gauntlets of Paroxysm]
[Sin'dorei Band of Triumph]

Eredar Twins go down on Tupan
Submitted by Boevis on Thu, 08/05/2008 - 02:35Seriously, isn't this getting a bit old Blizzard? Doesn't it just seem like Sunwell Bosses are just mix and match from BWL Bosses. Do they just throw Boss traits into a hat and pull them out at random? You enter Sunwell and have to fight an hours worth of Equally interesting yet non-epic-dropping non-bosses that drop epics which everyone wants. Then you get to find yet another corrupted dragon (seriously, when will they learn that every badguy can just MC them) with a stacking AoE (Firemaw), Alternate Realm (C'thun), NPC "tank" (Akama), and Decursive (the list is too damn long). Next is yet another Gearcheck for your tanks and Stupidcheck for your healers, but it wouldn't be complete without Stacking AoE (...), and You've Got the Bomb!™. This is followed by, More Decursive and Yet another Corrupted Dragon, but this time with Air Phase and Deep Breath! reverse You've Got the Bomb!™ was a nice Touch.
What's this, A trash Gauntlet? Followed by the mother of all RNG gimmick abilities fights. RTST Fire Dot, Shadow Bolts, Conflag Bombs, AoE Shadow damage, a MT Disorient, Lava Spit, Adds that Shadowfury. Of Course you need multiple melee tanks, of course you need a caster tank, and of course they share abilities when one of them dies. I almost forgot the (by now) obvious theme of Sunwell: Bring Moar Shaman and Priests. Seriously, with all the AoE damage and Avoidance being worth next to crap (thus Insiration is a must) I can't see why any guild would bring more than 1 Resto Druid and 1 Holy Paladin, who get to sit outside the instance and buff people.
There's probably at least 5 different ways to take the twins out. 3 Tanks, 2 Tanks, Sacrolash First, Alythess First, Resist Gear, absurd World Buffs, nothing seemed to work for us. Noticing that the Bosses aren't Leashed to their room, there was only one obvious solution that we could come up with. We quickly gave up on trying to lure them into the Den of Iniquity with Dark Iron Ale and went back to the old reliable strategy...

We just had to wait for Vael to RNG his Burning Adrenaline onto Sacrolash as we kited her around his room. Finishing off Alythess was no problem at all with Essence of the Red still going on us, sure we lost a lot of people to BA, but results are results.
The only thing we're missing now is a Boss with an absurd number of Adds ... Oh, Hi M'uru.
